Great Ocean Road Trip

If anybody asks me which is the most beautiful place in this world, I would really say it is the Great Ocean Road. The Great Ocean Road is a 243 km stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Warrnambool. The road was constructed to provide work for returning soldiers and dedicated as a Memorial to those killed in the First World War.It is one of Australia's great scenic coastline drives.
The first trip after I reached melbourne will be special and if it is Great Ocean Road trip, then it much obvious that it is the best in my life.

The view of the GOR in the evening is magical.

Starting 100km south west of Melbourne the Great Ocean Road works its way along the stunning coastline of Victoria's south-west. It is recognised as one of the world's most scenic drives. For most of the distance the road hugs the coastline.

Along this stretch of the Great Ocean Road is an amazing collection of rock sculptures such as 'The Twelve Apostles' - huge stone pillars looming out of the surf - and 'London Bridge', a rocky promontory arch carved out by the sea.

The view of sea from the mountains is really enchanting.

One of the major attraction is the Cape Otway light house. Cape Otway Lightstation is the oldest surving lighthouse on mainland Australia and it began operating in 1848.

There are several lighthouses through out the stretch of Great Ocean Road. Many are still fully functional and offer some of the most spectacular viewing point out to sea. Guided tours are available on some if you wish to climb to the top.
.
Huge rocks made of lime stone are so much attractive and looks divine.

I took a helicopter ride over the 12 apostles. I felt like dream come true. This is also the first time I am having a helicopter ride.

The leaving sun gives the entire area a charismatic touch. Photos taken using any camera, even using 1 MP camera will have a photoshop touch.

I will never forget this trip and this place. This trip to great ocean road will always be one of the best thing happen to me in my life.

We left GOR to Melbourne after a breif stay of 2 days.
